Swift Roofing installed Fayette County Public School’s first green roof, designed by Tate Hill Jacobs Architects. It was installed on Lexington Kentucky’s newest Career & Technical High School, Locust Trace Agri Science Farm, a Net Zero Energy School.
The membrane system underneath is Siplast’s Terabase and Teranap over a primed DensDeck, fastened to a metal deck. Afterward a root barrier and a drainage mat were installed with a filter fabric covering. Siplast’s Xero Terr Growing Medium was distributed at a depth of 4” and covered with their XF301 Pre-cultivated Vegetation Mat.
